18th Medal: Tejaswin Shankar (Bronze)
18th medal Tejaswin Shankar won the medal by jumping 2.22 meters high in the high jump, he won the bronze medal. This is India’s first medal in athletics in this Commonwealth Games. This is India’s first medal in the high jump in the history of the Commonwealth.
17th Medal: Gurdeep Singh (Bronze)
Gurdeep Singh won the 17th medal in weightlifting 109 kg + weight category by lifting 390 kg, which was a bronze medal. This is India’s 10th medal in weightlifting in this Commonwealth Games.
16th Medal: Tulika Mann (Silver)
Indian female judo player Tulika Mann won a silver medal for India in the 78 kg weight category. She was a contender for gold but had to face defeat in the final.
15th Medal: Saurav Ghoshal (Bronze)
Saurav Ghoshal won the bronze medal in the men’s singles of squash. He became the first player in the history of Commonwealth Games to win India a medal in squash. He defeated James Willstrop of England 11-6, 11-1, 11-4 in the bronze medal match.
14th Medal: Lovepreet Singh (Bronze)
In weightlifting, in the men’s 109 kg category, Lovepreet Singh won the bronze medal. He won this medal by lifting a total weight of 355 kg.
