Dal Rates in Indore: Indore (Naiduniya Representative). The central government had banned moong imports in February. Now by partially amending this policy, the way has been cleared for the old deals to reach the ports of India. The government has issued a notification that such deals of moong import done before February 11 in which advance payment has been made. Whether it is full payment or part payment, the transaction has been allowed to import moong subject to certain conditions. The import will be in proportion to the amount paid. The Bill of Landing for the transaction must be on or before 31 March 2022. It should also be known that on 11 February 2022, the ministry had suddenly issued a notification banning the import of moong with immediate effect.
The importers were continuously demanding the government to withdraw this decision as the future of the ships which were on the way or on which the goods were being loaded was in limbo. The importers must have heaved a sigh of relief with this decision of the government. Here, sowing of indigenous moong is going on in full swing and summer season moong gets ready in 45-50 days. In such a situation, it is expected that around April 15, the new moong of the summer season can be knocked in the mandis.
Keeping this in mind, there is no bullish situation in Moong at the moment. At present, moong best 7200-7400 average is selling up to Rs 6000-6800 per quintal. Here, due to Mahashivratri, there was a holiday in most of the mandis of the state as well as Indore, but due to some vehicles coming out of the market, private business of gram has been done in which the prices were said to be weak due to low levy of mills. Chana thorn was quoted at Rs 5025-5050 per quintal.
On Wednesday also, there will be a holiday in the Cantonment grain market due to Amavasya, but there is a possibility of a lot of pulses coming in the market on Thursday. In such a situation, further slowdown in the prices of lentils is expected. On Tuesday, there was a fall of Rs 100 in masoor dal due to weakening of the level.
