Jaipur. Everything is not going well in Rajasthan Roadways. Present and retired roadways employees are once again seen preparing for the agitation. The United Front of the employees says that the government does not seem to be serious about their demands. According to the Morcha, after the code of conduct is over, their delegation will meet the CM and after that further strategy will be prepared. If necessary, action can be taken to protest.
The United Front of Roadways Employees has been struggling for a long time for their demands before the formation of the new government. After the formation of the new government, the salaries of roadways employees have now started coming at an interval of one month, which earlier used to come at an interval of 2 months. But no major decision has been taken on their remaining demands, which range from recruitment to vacant posts to purchase of new buses.
Waiting for the code of conduct to end
State President of Rajasthan State Roadways Employees Union, ML Yadav, says that they are waiting for the code of conduct to end. After that will meet the government. In case things are not resolved, agitation will be started again. Although the union says that the department is purchasing 550 buses but this number is very less. At present the department needs 2 thousand buses.
Almost half of the buses have completed their time.
At present the Roadways Department has around 2900 buses. Almost half of these buses have completed their time. Now they are being driven on the roads despite being unfit. Due to this, there remains a possibility of accident. At present, eyes will remain on what decision the government takes regarding the department after June 4 and whether it is able to make peace with the union or not. If the employees follow the path of agitation, then not only the roadways travel may be in trouble but the department itself may also have to face many problems.
