Flaws have been reported in many smartphones of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco. Cyber security firm has discovered 20 types of dangerous loop holes in these Xiaomi smartphones, due to which users’ personal data can fall into the hands of hackers. These 20 dangerous flaws have been found in arbitrary files of applications and systems of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices. Security researchers have discovered these 20 loop holes in just 5 days. These flaws were found in these Xiaomi devices between April 25 and April 30.
These flaws in Xiaomi devices have been mentioned in a blog published by Oversecured. According to the blog, these problems have been found in MIUI and HyperOS used in smartphones of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco. Earlier this year, Xiaomi rebranded its custom operating system MIUI to HyperOS, which supports the Android 14 operating system.
Flaws found in these apps
According to the blog report, some of these flaws have been seen in Xiaomi’s Open Source Project apps (AOSP), which need to be patched. These security flaws have been discovered especially in the process of patching these apps present in Xiaomi devices. Flaws have been found in these applications present in the devices of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco:

- GetApps (com.xiaomi.mipicks)
- Mi Video (com.miui.videoplayer)
- MIUI Bluetooth (com.xiaomi.bluetooth)
- Phone Services (com.android.phone)
- Print Spooler (com.android.printspooler)
- Security (com.miui.securitycenter)
- Security Core Component (com.miui.securitycore)
- Settings (com.android.settings)
- ShareMe (com.xiaomi.midrop)
- System Tracing (com.android.traceur)
- Xiaomi Cloud (com.miui.cloudservice)
However, there is no system in which flaws are not found, but Xiaomi has not yet issued any statement about this security flaw. The flaws found in these applications have been shown in detail in the blog. These flaws found in the devices of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco can prove to be dangerous for the users. It is expected that the Chinese brand may soon release an update to fix these problems.
