Ajmer. The Dargah Diwan Jnanual Abedin has demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to declare Ajmer as the National Jain pilgrimage site. He has also sent a letter to the Prime Minister in this regard, in which he said that Ajmer has a lot of religious and spiritual significance, which is not only associated with the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti but also with the historical heritage related to Jainism.

Dargah Diwan also informed that Jain society will celebrate it specially across the country on the occasion of the death anniversary of Acharya 108 Vidyasagar Maharaj in Ajmer. He described this demand as true respect for Jainism and a more distinguished step of India’s rich religious heritage.

After this statement, Vishnu Gupta, who filed a petition for the claim of being a Shiva temple in the Dargah, said that at least it is now believed that Ajmer is a pilgrimage site of Jains. The matter has now become a reason for a new debate, in which discussions have intensified about communal harmony and religious identity between various religions and communities.
