Mumbai. The dead body of a handicapped person was recovered from a suitcase at Dadar station in Maharashtra’s capital Mumbai. Two people were taking this dead body to dispose of it by stuffing it in the suitcase. After getting suspicious at Dadar station, the police got the suitcase opened. In the meantime one of the people escaped. As soon as the suitcase was opened and the dead body was found, the second accused was immediately arrested. Later the police arrested the accused who had escaped from Dadar station from Ulhasnagar. The person who was murdered and the two people who are accused of the murder and disposing of the body are all handicapped.
According to the police, the name of the deceased is Arshad Khan. Whereas, the names of the accused who were going to dispose of the body are Sujit Surendra Singh and Praveen Chavda. Sujit told the police during interrogation that he had killed Arshad in Pidhouni of Maharashtra. Sujit told the police that a few days ago he, Arshad Khan and Praveen Chavda were together. Sujit had an argument with Arshad over something. When the argument turned into a confrontation, Sujit hit Arshad on the head with a hammer. This killed him on the spot. After this, both of them stuffed Arshad Khan’s body in a suitcase to dispose of it and were going to do so by boarding a train at Dadar station.
There have been incidents of bodies being found in suitcases in India before. In most of the cases, it was revealed that the boyfriend had killed his girlfriend and then stuffed the body in a suitcase and thrown it away. Due to the strict surveillance of the police in Dadar, Sujeet and Praveen were not successful in taking away the body of Arshad Khan. The police of Dadar police station in Mumbai is investigating this case further.
