It was revealed in the report that Shahzad Ahmed died of suffocation and injuries were also found on his body.
The curtain of lies opened from CCTV
The police interrogated the deceased’s wife Shagufta, son Ammar and Hammad separately in view of the seriousness of the case. During interrogation, Ammar claimed that he was in Delhi and returned home on May 20 as soon as the news of his father’s death was received. But when the police searched the nearby CCTV footage, the truth was revealed. The camera clearly showed that Ammar was going towards his house at 9:30 pm on May 19.
Son confesses crime
In strict interrogation, Ammar broke and confessed his crime. He told that his father wanted to evict him and his brother by selling ancestral property. He also published a commercial in this newspaper in this regard. There was a long tension in the family about this matter. The issue was also debated on 17 May. On the night of May 19, when Shahzad again refused and shook his wife and son as ‘greedy’, he was angry and killed him by Ammar and Shagufta.
Murder and arrest
According to Ammar’s statement, at around 11 pm, he slammed Shahzad on the bed and pressed the pillow and blanket on his mouth until his breath stopped. After this, the body was released on the bed in the same way and mosquito nets were put on top so that no one would be suspicious.
