Udaipur. Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that we are fortunate to not only witness the Navnirman of India, but also play their role in it. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called this generation of youth as nectar generation. This is the generation that has a determination of a strong and developed India, not just dreams in his eyes.
On Friday, Union Minister Shekhawat attended the 20th convocation held at Pandit Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (DIMD-to-B University). Shekhawat was awarded the title of ‘Doctor of Literature’ by the university. At the ceremony, 90 students were awarded the title of PhD and 90 were given gold medals for outstanding academic performance. In his address, he said that India is passing through the period today, which comes once in ages. Today India is the most young country in the world. So many youths were not even at the time of India’s freedom struggle. He said that in the last decade, the Milstambha that has been established in the last decade, especially in the areas associated with education and universe, is historical, fantastic. In this period, the infinite gates of the development of the ability of the youth and the possibilities for their future are open.
The Union Minister said that under the Skill India Mission in the last decade, while 1.4 crore youth were trained, the skill capacity of more than 54 lakh youth was increased. Today, the number of medical colleges in the country has increased to 780. In the last 10 years, the work of setting up 7 IITs, 16 IIITs, 7 IIMs, 15 AIIMS, 315 medical colleges, 3000 ITIs and 390 universities has been done to bring the expansion of higher education to the historic level in the country. The great thing is that we have not stayed in this direction and are neither.
Convocation like returning to student life
Shekhawat said that attending the convocation is like returning to student life for me again. University campus experiences and learning have played a big role in my life and personality building, so it is also a soulful moment for me. While wishing the students receiving degrees, he said that a new journey of students’ lives is starting from today, completing his education and training as famous initiation. Praising Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, Shekhawat said that Rajasthan’s fame has been in the field of education for a long time. Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth has contributed significantly in bringing this fame to new heights.
India becomes economic power
Union Minister Shekhawat said that today India is the fifth largest economy in the world. Soon we will join the top three economies in the world. Our strength is the strength of India, which is moving rapidly with solidarity in the direction of India developed in the unique leadership of the Prime Minister. 140 crore Indians today are taking steps to establish their country as a strong nation on a global plank by the centenary year of independence. This is a big pledge, a historical resolution. He said that I believe that this nectar resolution of nation building will definitely be fulfilled by the power of youth.
