New Delhi. Yesterday i.e. on June 28, the last match of the 2-match T20 series was played between India and Ireland (IND vs IRE). In this match, the Indian team defeated Ireland and made a clean sweep in the series. In the previous match, the Indian team had defeated the Ireland team. Batting first in the second match, the Indian team set a mammoth target of 225 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in front of Ireland, thanks to the excellent 176-run partnership of Deepak Hooda and Sanju Samson. Young Deepak Hooda played a brilliant innings for India in the final match. He scored 104 runs in 57 balls. During this, Deepak hit 9 fours and 6 sixes with the bat. With this, Deep Hooda also equaled a record of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul.
In the final match played between India and Ireland, 6 sixes came off Deepak Hooda’s bat. With this, Deepak equaled Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul’s record for most sixes in an innings. But he could not break Yuvraj Singh’s record of hitting 7 sixes in an innings of a T20 match. Yuvi had achieved this feat in the match played against England in the T20 World Cup in 2007. During this, he also hit 6 consecutive sixes in an over of Stuart Broad.
Apart from this, Rohit Sharma had hit 6 sixes in a match against Australia and KL Rahul also did the same against Ireland. After these three players, Deepak Hooda has now become the player from India, who has hit the most sixes in an innings.
