On Thursday, the crowd of youth had become furious against the Agneepath scheme. In Bihar, protesters who took to the roads and railway tracks caused incidents of train arson. The opposition is also in opposition to this Agneepath scheme of the central government. The country’s oldest party, the Congress government, is fiercely criticizing the government in this matter. There is a demand from the party to postpone this plan. The Congress says that the next step should be taken in this regard only after extensive consultation with experts and others. Amidst the ruckus being seen on this plan made by the central government, now the statement of the Defense Minister himself has come to the fore. Talking to a news agency, the Defense Minister has said that the Agneepath scheme announced by the government gives a golden opportunity to the youth of India to connect with the country’s defense system and serve the country.

The Defense Minister further said that in the last 2 years due to Corona, the process of recruitment in the army could not be done, in such a situation many youths could not get a chance to join the army. The Defense Minister said that on the approval of the Prime Minister, the age limit for the recruitment of Agniveers has been increased from 21 to 23 years. After this, now many youths will get the eligibility to become Agniveer. Further, the Defense Minister said about the protesting youth that he wants to tell the youth of the country that they should prepare for recruitment in the army and take advantage of it.

The uproar happening from Bihar to Bengal
For the third consecutive day, there is a fierce demonstration against this scheme ‘Agneepath’ implemented by the government. This morning, the Jammu Tawi-Guwahati Express train was set on fire by miscreants at Mohiuddin Nagar station of Hajipur-Barauni railway section in Samastipur, Bihar. Due to this, two bogies of the train were burnt to ashes. On the other hand, the Bihar Sampark Kranti Express train going from Darbhanga to New Delhi was also targeted by the miscreants. Four bogies of the train were burnt in this incident.
