Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has expressed deep concern and grief over the massive fire that broke out at a baby care centre in Vivek Vihar, in which seven newborns lost their lives. Kejriwal described the incident as heartbreaking and expressed his solidarity with the bereaved families, saying, “This fire at a children’s hospital is heartbreaking. We stand with those who have lost their innocent children in this tragedy.” The Chief Minister assured that the government and administrative officials are actively providing medical assistance to the injured at the spot. He further said that the cause of the fire is under investigation and those found responsible for negligence will have to face strict consequences.

Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj visited the spot and expressed deep regret over the unfortunate incident. He said, “This incident is very unfortunate. I have asked the Health Secretary to give detailed information about this incident. No person responsible for this negligence will be spared. Those found guilty of any wrongdoing will be given the harshest punishment.”
A tragic fire broke out at Vivek Vihar Child Care Centre late Saturday night on May 25, resulting in the death of seven newborn babies. The horrific incident has sent shockwaves in the area and the bereaved families are in deep grief. According to the Delhi Fire Brigade Department Services Department, they received a call about the fire at around 11:32 pm on Saturday night.
