Delhi High Court reprimanded

Three students died due to rainwater filling the basement of an IAS exam coaching institute in Delhi. On one hand, there is politics and protests regarding this matter, while on the other hand, this matter has now reached the Delhi High Court, the hearing in this case took place on Wednesday. The court made the police a party in this case and reprimanded them severely. The court has asked the officer investigating the case to bring all the files tomorrow i.e. Thursday. Also, it has asked to tell how many MCD officers have been arrested in this case so far.

The court reprimanded severely

In this case, the commissioner has been personally summoned in the court and the Delhi High Court has asked the MCD to file an affidavit by tomorrow and tell about the steps taken so far. The High Court reprimanded and said that unfortunately many officials are working for mutually beneficial purposes. There is a lot of blame game going on. The entire administrative structure of Delhi should be re-examined. The court said that we will pass an order to fix responsibility in this matter, this is an infrastructural breakdown.

The Delhi High Court directed the officials to remove all encroachments on the drains in Rajendra Nagar area by Friday. The High Court reprimanded them and said that what have the Delhi Police and MCD done so far, they have arrested a person passing by. How many MCD officials were arrested? Responsibility should be fixed immediately in this case.

The High Court gave the order

The High Court has ordered the MCD Commissioner, the DCP of the district and the investigating officer (IO) to appear in court on the next hearing and has asked the MCD to file an affidavit and tell about the steps taken so far. Along with this, the officials were directed to remove all encroachments from the drains in Rajendra Nagar area by Friday. The next hearing of the case will be on Friday at 2.30 pm.
