New Delhi. The dispute between the Delhi government and the governor present here is not hidden from anyone. Now on a similar issue, the High Court has asked the Delhi government to stop, on which there was a conflict between the AAP government of Delhi and the Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal for a long time. Actually, giving a setback to the Delhi government, the High Court has banned the door step ration delivery scheme. Let us tell you that there was a conflict between the Delhi government and Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal for a long time. Along with this, the central government was also seen against this scheme. Before the High Court banned the scheme door step ration delivery, the Lieutenant Governor had asked the Delhi Government to send its proposal to the Central Government. For door-to-door ration delivery, where the Delhi government was adamant. On the other hand, the Central Government and Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal were against this scheme.
However, in October last year, the High Court had given conditional permission to the Delhi government’s door-to-door ration step delivery scheme. The High Court had said that there should be no shortage of ration in the shops at the right rate. Along with this, the High Court had ordered the Delhi government to give the information of those card holders to all the shopkeepers who have got the right price, who have opted to take ration at home.
The High Court had said that thereafter the shopkeepers will not be required to supply ration to the beneficiaries of the Public Distribution System (PDS) who have opted to receive ration at home. A bench of Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Jasmit Singh had said in this regard that therefore we have amended our order given on 22 March 2021.
