Noida. The food items of a McDonald’s shop located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, adjacent to the national capital Delhi, are being investigated. If any kind of deficiency or defect in food items is found in the report, the administration will take strict action. If unsafe mention comes in the report, there is a provision of fine up to Rs 10 lakh and life imprisonment.
Gautam Buddha Nagar’s Assistant Commissioner (Food) II Archana Dheeran has said that after the complaint, food department officials had collected samples of palmolive oil, cheese and mayonnaise from McDonald’s, which have been sent to Lucknow for testing. It takes some time for the report to arrive. Action will be taken in this matter after the report comes.

Actually, a young man resident of Noida had ordered a burger online from McDonald’s located in Sector-18. They allege that the burger was stale. He had complained about this on FSSAI portal Focus. After which the Food Department team collected samples. Along with this, on the complaint of another customer, a complaint was received about Theobroma Bakery and Cake Shop located in Sector-104 of Noida. After which cake samples were taken from the bakery. The samples have been sent to the lab for testing.

The department has taken this action on the complaint of customers. The health of the complaining customers had deteriorated after eating burgers and cakes. The department says that further action will be taken after the test report of the samples comes.
Assistant Commissioner (Food) II Gautam Buddha Nagar Archana Dheeran told IANS that in this case the samples have been sent to the lab, the report of which takes about 15 days to 1 month. There are many types of rules and provisions. If unsafe mention comes in the report, there is a provision of fine up to Rs 10 lakh and life imprisonment. Any action will be taken only after the report comes.
