New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) reacted to the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday in a money laundering case related to excise policy, saying that he is reaping what he has sown. The party said that after trying to escape for a long time, he has finally come under the clutches of the law.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said, “Mr Kejriwal, you are corrupt. The people of Delhi and the people of India know that you are corrupt. He said that Kejriwal had been issued several summons by the Enforcement Directorate and his arrest took place after a long process.
The BJP spokesperson said, “Gang ban was allowed, liquor manufacturers were allowed to sell wholesale and blacklisted companies were allowed to do business at the cost of the exchequer.” He said, “Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest. Corruption is defeated. Kejriwal should resign immediately.
BJP leader Sachdev alleged, “While Kejriwal made a drama against drugs in Punjab, he opened liquor shops and bars in every street of Delhi and pushed the youth into the abyss of drug addiction.” He said that this is what the AAP leaders are doing. The statement that Kejriwal will run the government from jail is “an insult to constitutional norms.”

He demanded that the election notification be canceled as ‘this is the end of democracy in India and there is no need for elections now.’
Shiv Sena (UBT) Congress leader Priyanka Chaturvedi said Kejriwal’s arrest shows that the BJP is scared of the opposition and the party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is not even close to winning 400 Lok Sabha seats.
