New Delhi. The government of PM Narendra Modi has already taken many big decisions. Now she is going to take another decision. In the interest of the Hindu community, this big decision is expected to be taken in the next session of Parliament. Quoting sources, Hindi newspaper ‘Dainik Jagran’ has reported that the Modi government is now going to make changes in the Act related to protected monuments. After this change, worship can be done in all those temples under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), where worship is currently prohibited. The newspaper has written that in the past, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha had gone to Martand Sun Temple and attended the worship there. This was called a violation of the rules by the ASI. Only after this the Modi government has decided to change the rules.
After this decision, Hindu devotees going to see hundreds of preserved ancient temples of India will also be able to worship there. After changing the rules for temples, priests will also be kept there. It is being told that in the temples where there are no idols or in a broken state, new idols will also be worshiped. The Modi government also believes that this will improve the maintenance of ancient temples.
At present, only ASI maintains such ancient temples. For this the government gives budget. By opening the temples for the worship of the common people, people will come there, then cleanliness and their protection will be better and there will be no shortage of funds for the government for this work. At present, religious programs cannot be held in temples protected under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act 1958. The Culture Ministry official told the newspaper that the purpose for which the law was made is not being fulfilled. The condition of the temples is only deteriorating as the entry of people is restricted.
