The Meteorological Department (IMD) said that light to moderate and heavy rains have been recorded from the beginning of August till Friday. This is unique in itself. Let us tell you that earlier in the month of June there was a continuous outbreak of heatwave. Due to this people had to face a lot of problems. IMD has also released a fresh forecast for the coming days.
The national capital received 15 continuous rains in the month of August. The Meteorological Department said that Delhi received light to heavy rains from the beginning of August till Friday. IMD data showed that the capital received rain every day between August 1 and August 15, Thursday. The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of rain at various places in Delhi on Friday night. The capital’s Safdarjung weather station recorded 13.6 mm of rain between 8.30 am on August 15 and August 16, 28.5 mm in Palam, 18.6 mm in Ayanagar and 9.5 mm in Narela.

How will the weather be on Saturday
According to data released by the Delhi Municipal Corporation, the corporation’s Central Monitoring Center received seven complaints each of waterlogging and falling trees between 6 am and 6 pm. Waterlogging occurred in many areas of Delhi including Palam, Rohini and Adarsh Nagar, while incidents of falling trees were reported from Dwarka, Ashok Vihar, Malviya Nagar and Lajpat Nagar. Delhi has been kept in the ‘green zone’ for the next 7 days. The Meteorological Department has predicted cloudy weather and light rain in the capital on Saturday.

According to the latest forecasts of the Meteorological Department, people may be drenched in sweat on Saturday, August 17. Meteorologists said that the maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi on Saturday are expected to be between 35 and 26 degrees Celsius. According to the IMD, the maximum temperature in Delhi on Friday was recorded at 35.2 degrees Celsius, which is 1.4 degrees higher than the normal temperature of this season. Due to high humidity in Delhi and surrounding areas, people will have to face sweaty heat.
