Monsoon Weather Update: While the southern states of the country are receiving torrential rains, heatwaves have created havoc in many states of North India. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), a new round of hot winds has begun in North-West India. The IMD said that for the next few days, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand will experience hot winds and severe heat.
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert due to the possibility of severe heat in some parts of Uttar Pradesh from June 10 to June 12. The maximum temperature in eastern India is expected to increase significantly by 2-3 degrees in the next few days. There is no significant change in the maximum temperature in central India in the next three days.

The IMD has predicted thunderstorms, light to moderate rain, lightning and strong winds in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim till June 15. The Meteorological Department has predicted very heavy rains in Assam and Meghalaya on June 11 and 12.
When will monsoon reach Delhi
Talking about the weather of the country’s capital Delhi, a heat wave alert has been issued for the next 3 days. According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon may arrive in Delhi by June 27. Before this, there may be light pre-monsoon rain in Delhi, due to which people may get relief. At the same time, monsoon may arrive in the capital Lucknow around June 24 to 25 in Uttar Pradesh, after which there may be good rain here.
Weather condition of other states
According to Skymet Weather, during the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rains with very heavy rains at some places may occur over South Konkan Goa, South Madhya Maharashtra and Coastal Karnataka. Telangana, Marathwada, North Konkan and Goa, North Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands may receive light to moderate rains with heavy rains at some places.
Light to moderate rain is possible over Sikkim, Northeast India, Lakshadweep, Southwest Madhya Pradesh and parts of Vidarbha. Light rain is possible over Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, South Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Western Himalayas. Heat wave conditions are possible over Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Punjab and parts of Haryana. Heat wave to severe heat wave conditions are possible over isolated areas of East Uttar Pradesh.
