On Thursday, a delegation of local citizens met Agra Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Tej Prakash Aggarwal with the aim of expanding railway facilities and increasing passenger convenience at Deeg district headquarters. In this important meeting held at around 1:00 pm, the delegation discussed various issues related to trains passing through Deeg station in detail and put the needs of passengers before the DRM. The delegation urged to make the movement of trains passing through Deeg to be more systematic and rational as per the convenience of the passengers. He emphasized the need to start an additional train service immediately, reflecting the insufficiency of existing railway services, so that the people of the area could get easy movement. Additionally, the delegation also informed the DRM regarding some other essential railway services and facilities keeping in mind the future needs.
Focusing on improving passenger facilities, the delegation laid several important demands at Deeg railway station. These include opening water coolers for passengers in view of the scorching heat, opening a reservation counter to provide ticket booking facilities at the local level and to make proper arrangements for wheelchairs and ramps at the station to ease senior citizens and disabled passengers. With these facilities, the experience of passengers at the station will be better and they will get rid of unnecessary problems.
DRM Tej Prakash Aggarwal listened to the delegation’s words carefully and assured appropriate action on their demands. The delegation was present in this delegation and other dignitaries including BJP leaders Girish Sharma, Sunil Dangia, Vijay Punjabi, Councilor Neeraj Gurjar, who unitedly presented the railway requirements of the area effectively. – Special Network
