Rachin Ravindra’s excellent performance continues
Rachin Ravindra performed brilliantly in New Zealand’s innings and played a brilliant innings. Ravindra handled the Kiwi innings and scored 116 runs in 89 balls. However, despite his heroics, the rest of New Zealand’s middle-order batsmen could not provide enough support. Apart from Ravindra, only two other New Zealand batsmen were successful in scoring fifty runs, leaving the team just 50 runs short of the target.
Wickets kept falling at regular intervals
New Zealand had a good start while chasing the huge target of 389 runs. However, they could not convert the good start into a big score due to wickets falling at regular intervals. Despite Ravindra’s excellent century, the Kiwi team could not achieve the required run rate. The Australian bowlers continued to take important wickets, especially in the middle overs, making it difficult for New Zealand to maintain the momentum.

After winning the toss and batting first, Australia posted a challenging score of 388 runs on the board. His consistent line and length troubled the Kiwi batsmen. Glenn Maxwell also played an important role with the ball and took one wicket for 62 runs in 10 overs. The Australian spinners posed a tough challenge for New Zealand by dismissing four key players.
