New Delhi. Indian clothing is recognized in the world. The garments are exported to different countries of the world from many units of Noida and Ghaziabad. At present, the Yogi government will build an apparel park in Noida to organize most of this industry in the unorganized sector. This will improve the quality of investors by getting all the facilities at one place. Exports will also increase. If we look at the data for the financial year 2021-2022, the share of textiles / apparel in the goods exported from Uttar Pradesh was 9 percent i.e. 12996 crores. Except the products of electronic and electrical and second number respectively, apparel is the third number among the products exported from the state.
Talking about growth, there was an increase of about 40 percent in exports compared to 2020-2021. This growth was more than the products of electronics and electrical and meat during the same period. Despite the global pandemic Corona, this increase will be considered remarkable in itself.
It is to be known that the share of Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad in the top ten cities of the state in exports is 41 and 11 percent respectively. The exporting apparel industry is also in these districts. Most of these are in the unplanned area. To provide them all facilities at one place by employing them, Yogi government will build an apparel park in Noida. About 115 export oriented units of readymade garments are targeted to be set up in this park. According to an estimate, an investment of three thousand crores will come in this. Soon the process will be started in this regard. The target is to lay the foundation stone in July and commercial production in all the units by September 2025. Apart from this, the government also plans to make five textiles and apparels on the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. For this, the process of tender will be started after identifying the land by September next year. The target is to start production by 2026.
