This incident happened on the fifth ball of the 18th over of the Punjab Kings innings. Liam Livingstone’s partner Ashutosh Sharma played the ball of leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal to deep midwicket. Both of them took the first run easily. After this, Livingstone came out of the crease for the second run. Ashutosh sent him back from the other end. Then Tanush Kotian picked up the ball from the deep and threw it straight towards Samson. Samson dived to his left and hit the ball without looking at the stumps. By the time Livingstone returned to the crease, Samson had completed his job. Livingstone was out after scoring 21 runs.
While falling he hit the ball on the stumps, this is how the dangerous batsman did all his work
Who is Deependra? Who scored 36 runs in 6 balls… has broken Yuvraj Singh’s great record by scoring 50 runs in 9 balls.
Excellent piece of fielding!
It’s none other than the @rajasthanroyals Skipper @IamSanjuSamson with a superb run-out to dismiss Livingstone
