Dinesh Karthik will be seen playing in next year’s season of the SA20 League.

Former Indian team player and wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik announced his retirement after playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore team in the IPL 2024 season. Now Karthik will be seen playing in foreign T20 leagues, in which he is a part of the Paarl Royals team in South Africa’s franchise-based T20 league SA20 to be held next year. The next season of this T20 league will be played from January 9, in which Karthik will be a part of the Royal team as a foreign player.

Karthik had announced his retirement on his birthday

Dinesh Karthik will be the first player from India to play in SA20. He announced his retirement on his birthday after the end of the 17th season of IPL, after which he will now be seen playing in this tournament. Dinesh Karthik has played a total of 180 matches in international cricket for the Indian team. The RCB team has also appointed him as the batting coach along with the mentor of their team for the 2025 season of IPL.

If we talk about Dinesh Karthik’s experience in T20 cricket, he has played a total of 401 matches. He has participated in all 17 seasons of IPL, during which he has been a part of a total of 6 teams, in which he has also taken over the responsibility of captaining the Kolkata Knight Riders team. Let us tell you that only retired male players have been given permission by the BCCI to play in foreign T20 leagues.
