Korba (Representational) Mukesh Chaudhary, Director of the Ministry of Coal, stayed on the stay of Gevra and Kusmunda mines. During this, a review meeting was held with the officials while being acquainted with the process of loading as well as production in the mine.
While going to inspect the coal base methane gas at Sohagpur, the director stopped at Gevra and Kusmunda, the mega project of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL). During this, he took stock of both the mines from Beau Point. The local authorities provided them all the information related to the mine through a map. Oversees first mile connectivity projects in Kusmunda area. This project being developed for the purpose of fast loading of coal is also environment friendly. He also took stock of the automated rake loading process through silos. In addition to production activities in Gevra project, he also observed the rake loading process from Junadih siding. Director Chowdhary asked to make all possible efforts to increase the production. He encouraged the officers and employees to work in a protective manner and asked them to produce more and more. It is being told that in both the projects, he emphasized on computerization on system modernization of work. So that direct monitoring can be done and success can be achieved by increasing production and shipments. During his stay, SECL Bilaspur Director Manoj Prasad, SK Pal, Kusmunda General Manager Sanjay Mishra and Gevra General Manager SK Mohanty along with Irkan officials, members of SECL Marketing and Sales team, senior officers of area management were present. It may be mentioned that 36 days before the end of the financial year, SECL has crossed the previous year’s coal loading figure and the company is moving towards a bigger dispatch target.
