Jaipur. In view of the upcoming monsoon session, the Rajasthan government has geared up to deal with any disaster arising from floods and waterlogging. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has today sent 57 special rescue teams with disaster relief equipment and sent it to 32 possible flood affected districts of the state. This step has been taken with the aim of ensuring safety of citizens and providing immediate assistance in any emergency. State Disaster Response Force Commandant Rajendra Singh Sisodia said that excessive rainfall during the monsoon can cause flooding due to waterlogging, rising water levels in rivers and reservoirs. In such a situation, SDRF teams play an important role in saving people and reaching the trapped citizens. He reported that the motto of SDRF is “Disaster Services’, which his teams are committed to fully charged.
Commandant Sisodia also mentioned the previous record of SDRF. From the year 2018 to 2024, SDRF has successfully conducted a total of 424 rescue operations during various flood disasters, saving 12,995 people. This figure reflects the efficiency and experience of SDRF in disaster management.
Details of successes achieved in the last 7 years: In 7 years, a Jaipur -based A Company has done 22 rescue operations 754, Kota -based B Company 6218 in 146, C Company at Bharatpur, 2646 in 55 operations, D Company in Udaipur, D Company did 13 operations, E. Company in Ajmer, E. Company in Ajmer, E. Company, E. Company in Ajmer, 406, Jodhpur -based F Company, F Company, 65 operations, 65 operations, The operations have saved the lives of 1610 people.
Preparation for rescue in this monsoon:
A total of 57 rescue teams have been formed from all SDRF companies in view of the possibility of monsoon being active in the state since 18 June. These teams have been specially trained and are equipped with state -of -the -art disaster relief equipment. Commandant Sisodia has instructed all rescue teams to strictly follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), to do rescue operations with full skills and capacity and prioritize the lives of citizens.
On this occasion, Director of Civil Protection Department Jagjit Singh Moga, Disaster Management Department, Joint Secretary Bhagwat Singh and Commandant Indramal of Civil Defense Jaipur and other senior officials of state disaster response forces were also present.

These 57 teams were given Jaipur Rural (04), Jaipur Commissionerate (03), Alwar (01), Dausa (01), Kota City (02), Baran (02), Jhalawar (02), Bharatpur (04), Dholpur (02), Karauli (02), Sawaimadhopur (02), Udaipur (02), Ajmer (03), Ajmer (03) (02), Tonk (02), Jodhpur (03), Bikaner (02), Banswara (02) have been deployed in a total of 32 districts. This widespread deployment ensures that immediate assistance is available in every sensitive area of the state. This initiative of SDRF strengthens state preparations before the monsoon and reflects the government’s commitment to deal with any unpleasant situation.
