Mumbai Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi has questioned the decline in the Indian stock market on Monday. He blamed the Trump administration of the US and the Modi government of the Center.
Priyanka Chaturvedi said that due to this huge decline, not only the stock market but also the overall economic situation of the country will also be negatively impacted. Ever since the Trump administration has implemented Resiprockle tariffs, no country has survived. 27 percent of tariffs have been imposed on India, this will affect many of our industries. Especially it will have a big impact on our exports. The government should have discussed a wide discussion in Parliament on this issue, but instead issues like Waqf Board were being debated. “
Priyanka Chaturvedi questioned whether the government has taken any concrete steps for small and retail investors. He said that there has been a loss of Rs 19 lakh crore in the stock market and now there is an atmosphere of fear among investors.
He also alleged that the government did not try to take the opposition into confidence to deal with this crisis. At this time the government should have submitted a solution so that the public could get confidence and some concrete steps can be taken to overcome this crisis. Priyanka Chaturvedi further said, “We are seeing that the stock markets are falling all over the world and now the same situation is being seen in India. In such a situation, the question arises whether the government has taken any steps to save small investors or not.”
He said, “The tariffs implemented by Trump have affected Indian industries. Especially it is negatively impacting our exports.” Priyanka Chaturvedi also said that the government should have made a widespread discussion about this in Parliament, but instead the government lost time in other disputes.
He urged the government to take concrete steps to deal with this crisis, so that investors can get relief and they are confident that their money will be safe. At this time the government should decide its priorities and ensure how Indian economy and industries can be taken out of this crisis.
