Sriganganagar. District Collector Dr. Manju inspected the rainy water drainage system and Ghaggar Bahao area in Suratgarh on Thursday. On this occasion, the District Collector instructed the officials to make adequate arrangements, taking information about the works done so far. During this time, the District Collector called for more and more plantation from the common man by planting saplings at PMshree Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and Nandisala.
On reaching Suratgarh, the District Collector inaugurated the 64th National Pre-Suprato Cup (Football) Tournament 2025 in the age of 17 years at PMSri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. After taking introduction to the players here, he called upon the players to play the game with sportsmanship. He said that sports not only leads to body development but also improves coordination. After the march past salute and band demonstration, the District Collector inspected the school premises. After unavying the artifacts manufactured by the girls, the District Collector also planted saplings in the school premises.
After this, the District Collector, while planting 111 plants in the program organized at Nandisala Suratgarh, called upon the attendees to plant more and more saplings under Hariyalo Rajasthan as well as to ensure the plants planted.
During this time, the District Collector inspected the rainfall drainage system and the Ghaggar Drift area in the area. Taking information about the drainage system in the area from the municipal officers, the works done so far were reviewed. He said that along with regular cleaning of drains, adequate repair of damaged roads should be done. There should be no problem of any kind after rainwater in the Ghaggar drift area. Adequate arrangements should also be ensured for ground water recharge.
While giving instructions for the plantation, chowk beautification along the road and dividers to Suratgarh ADADM and SDM, the District Collector said that more and more plantation should be ensured through various organizations in the area. Also, the plants planted should be taken care of regularly so that the environmental protection can be promoted in the area. ADM administration Subhash Kumar, Suratgarh ADM Dinanath Babal, SDM Sandeep Kakad, Tehsildar, EO municipality and other officials were present on the occasion.
