Sleep Deprivation & Happiness: Sleep is very important for our health. All people must get at least 7 to 8 hours of good sleep every day. According to health experts, lack of sleep can pose many serious risks to people’s health. Now a study has come out regarding this, in which many shocking things have come to light. Studies have shown that not getting enough sleep can take away people’s happiness and can fill life with anxiety and mental problems. This research has also revealed that a large number of people sleep less and they have to suffer the consequences in the form of diseases.
This study has been released by the American Psychological Association (APA). It has been told that not getting enough sleep can seriously ruin people’s emotional health and their positive moods i.e. happiness can decrease. Because of this, the risk of anxiety also increases for people. In this study, scientists had researched the relationship between lack of sleep and mood for about 50 years. More than 5700 people were included in this study, a large number of whom were youth and teenagers. Researchers also analyzed 154 studies of the last 50 years.
30% adults and 90% teenagers do not get enough sleep
Another shocking revelation has come to light in this study. According to Cara Palmer, lead author of this research, about 30% of adults and 90% of teenagers do not get enough sleep. The number of youth is very high among the people who get less sleep. It is believed that most of the people in our society do not take adequate amount of sleep, which is adversely affecting their health. In this respect, this research is considered very important.
Less sleep is very dangerous for health
According to health experts, lack of sleep has a great impact on health and continuously getting less sleep can pose serious risks to health. Lack of sleep increases the risk of many diseases including obesity, diabetes, stroke, heart disease, blood pressure, kidney disease, osteoporosis, cancer, mental problems. In such a situation, everyone should take at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep regularly.
