Pregnant women should do these physical exercises…
1. Walking: This is one of the easiest and safest exercises during pregnancy. It helps in maintaining heart health and keeping the body active.
2. Swimming: This is an excellent workout as it allows the whole body to exercise without any strain. Exercising in water reduces pressure on the joints.
3. Pregnancy Yoga: Yoga helps to reduce stress, increase flexibility and strengthen muscles. Pregnancy yoga is specially designed for pregnant women.
4. Pilates: Pregnancy Pilates helps in strengthening the abdominal muscles and reducing back pain.
5. Kegel Exercises: These strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, which are important during pregnancy and delivery.
6. Low-Impact Aerobics: Low-impact aerobics workouts help maintain heart health and improve overall fitness. But high-impact aerobics should be avoided.
7. Stretching: Light stretching helps in keeping the muscles flexible and reducing pain.
