Due to this, your oral health as well as overall health can be badly ruined and many types of infections can occur. A toothbrush stand should never be placed near the toilet seat, because there are more bacteria there.
Dr. Vaibhav Gulati told that people should not keep their toothbrush in the toilet or bathroom and should keep it somewhere else. However, if this is not possible, then the brush should always be kept covered and washed thoroughly with water before use. By washing with water, the bacteria trapped in the bristles of the toothbrush come out. Apart from this, after using the brush, it should be washed thoroughly and kept with a cover. This can help in protecting against bacteria to a great extent. Also, people should keep changing toothbrush after every 2-3 months. This will help you a lot in maintaining better oral health.
