Supporters gathered outside the court
There are tight security arrangements outside the New York court. Trump’s supporters have gathered here in large numbers. In New York, about 35,000 policemen are deployed to stop the demonstration. The charges against Trump will be fixed at 2.15 pm local time. The former US President will be formally arrested. He has been accused of hooliganism under 34 Class E. It has been told by sources related to this whole process that Trump will not be handcuffed, nor will he be kept in a jail cell, nor will any photograph be taken of him.
photo no request
Todd Blanche, a prominent criminal defense attorney representing Trump, along with the rest of Trump’s attorneys, urged the judge on Monday not to allow videography, photography and radio coverage. In a letter written to the court, Trump’s lawyers have said that if this happens, the court will look like a circus. On behalf of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, it has been said that its decision rests with the judge. He also pointed out that last year Judge Juan Marchen allowed a limited number of still photos ahead of a criminal trial in which Trump’s real estate company was convicted of tax fraud.
Five photographers got approval
Judge Marchen has given permission for five photographers to enter the court. These photographers will be able to take photographs before the process begins. Cameras are not allowed in the hallways of the building. Trump has been convicted after several months of hearing by the Manhattan Grand Jury. During the 2016 election campaign, Trump paid porn actress Stormy Daniels $130,000 to keep her mouth shut. Daniels says that in 2006, he was given this amount to suppress the matter of forming relations with Trump at Lake Tahoe Hotel. Trump has denied having any relationship with Daniels.
