On this day, people forget all their grudges and celebrate this festival with joy, enjoying brotherhood with each other and indulging in the joy of colours. There has been a lot of difference in the way Holi was played earlier. In this way there is a difference in color and gulal also. Now many types of colors, gulal, cheats are available in the market.
Sometimes these can prove dangerous for your skin and eyes. Therefore, keep in mind that it is better to use herbal colors or gulal instead of synthetic colors containing chemicals. We talked to Dr. Vivek Khandekar, Assistant Professor, Skin Specialist, Korba Medical College, about the side effects of color and gulal on the skin.
If you have itching, do these remedies immediately
Skin specialist Dr. Vivek told Local 18 that in most of the cases caused by chemical colors and roses, red spots and itching start appearing after the color is applied. Such serious cases are rarely seen. If itching occurs after playing with color or gulal, then the area should be immediately washed with clean water. If the itching still does not go away or is increasing, then definitely consult your nearest doctor.

risk of reaction
Some caution should be taken even while playing with colors on the day of Holi. When you leave the house to play with colors, first of all apply oil on your hair as well as your entire skin. So that the color stays on the oil layer instead of going inside your skin. This will reduce the risk of reaction and it will also be easier to clean the colours. Do not use any kind of surf or other things to clean the color, instead use only body soap.
