A shocking cybercrime has surfaced from North Delhi, where a 26 -year -old married woman has been arrested for defaming and mentally harassing a 26 -year -old woman. Police investigation revealed that the woman suspected that her husband had an affair with the woman, due to this suspicion and burning, she hatched this conspiracy.
How to open the matter?
A 30 -year -old woman complained to the police. He alleged that someone created a fake Instagram account in his name, in which his editing pictures were posted. Apart from this, his friends and colleagues were followed by that account and an attempt was made to gather his personal information from his profile.
Police investigation method
North District Deputy Commissioner of Police Raja Banthia said that with the help of technical investigation and call details, it was found that the SIM card used was registered at the address of Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. The location was later traced to Nangloi area of Delhi. The police team reached the spot and secretly identified the house of the accused and was arrested. The police have seized the mobile phone and SIM card of the accused, which made this fraud. The accused woman has been identified as Ritu Pandey, who is originally from Ghazipur, UP.
Husband suspected the reason for crime
During interrogation, Ritu Pandey admitted that she was married in 2023. Before marriage, her husband shared a group photo with her friends with a complainant woman. After marriage, Ritu saw that her husband still follows the same woman on Instagram, which suspected that there was some relationship between them.
Due to this doubt and insecurity, Ritu sent objectionable messages to the complainant from her husband’s Instagram account. When the woman blocked the account, Ritu tried to slander by creating a fake profile in her name. She also wanted to know if her husband would send a friend request to that fake account.
Husband did not know
Police have confirmed that Ritu’s husband had no information about a fake account. He lives at a relative’s house in Nangloi, Delhi and works there. Ritu often used to go there to meet him.
Further action
The police have registered a case under sections related to the IT Act and cyber crime. Accused Ritu Pandey has been sent to judicial custody and a forensic investigation of digital evidence is being done.
