Lucknow/Gonda. The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has once again proved that its priority is village, poor and deprived. The dream of reaching electricity for the first time in Manipur Grant Vantangia village located in Chhapia block of Gonda district is now realized. Due to the policies and decisions of the Yogi government, the light of development has now reached this remote Vanvasi village. For years, a new ray of lights has started appearing in this village with a population of about 80 people living in darkness. The state government’s schemes under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have made this change possible.
The change in this village, which has been immersed in darkness since independence, started in 2018, when Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took special initiative for the development of Vantangia villages. In the first phase, solar lights were installed, which gave the villagers some relief from the darkness of the night. Now the Electricity Department has also started the process of providing electricity connection.
A special camp will be organized in the village on Saturday, in which the villagers will be formally provided with electricity connections. This will not only bring light in the houses, but will also be able to connect with the village development.
The villagers are now getting the direct benefit of the government’s schemes. Santram, the elder of the village, says, “We never thought that electricity will reach our village. Now there is light in life.”
Sanjay has found a pucca house under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana. He told, “Now the education of children will also be done properly and we will not have to worry about the roof dripping.” Ram Kripal described it as a historical change.
With electricity, the villagers will not only get everyday facilities, but will also open new avenues of education, health and employment. Mobile charging, children’s education and domestic work will now be done easily. The effort of the Yogi government regarding the development of Vantangia villages is becoming a model that if there is willpower, no corner can remain untouched by development.
