Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer and Mohammed Siraj
Duleep Trophy, 2024-25 Squad: All 4 teams have been announced for the first round of Duleep Trophy 2024-25. Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Shivam Dubey, Kuldeep Yadav, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Mohammad Siraj, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel are among the Indian stars who will participate in the Duleep Trophy. However, the names of Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are not included in the squad of any team. There were many reports that these senior players could also be a part of this domestic tournament, but now BCCI has made it clear with the announcement of the squad that all three players will be on a break till the start of the Test series against Bangladesh.
The Duleep Trophy tournament will start from September 5, 2024 in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh and M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Shubman Gill has been given the captaincy of Team A while Abhimanyu Easwaran has been given the captaincy of Team B. At the same time, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shreyas Iyer will lead Team C and Team D respectively. The Indian players who will be selected for the Test series against Bangladesh will be replaced by replacement players in the Duleep Trophy. At the same time, Nitish Kumar Reddy’s participation in the Duleep Trophy will depend on fitness.
The four teams for the first round of the tournament are as follows:-
