New Delhi. South Africa’s tour of India is set to begin tomorrow, December 10, with the first T20 match to be played in Durban. Before this important match, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shared a video of the first practice session of Team India. In the video, Rinku Singh is seen joining an exclusive conversation, discussing the team’s preparations, South Africa weather updates and his fitness and batting order.
During the conversation, Shubman Gill jokingly teases Rinku Singh and attributes his fitness to the fight with a monkey and says, “You are so fit because you fought with a monkey, right?” Rinku Singh is momentarily shocked, after which he also answers in the affirmative, and Shubman Gill asks, “Show us where it bit you!” Happy, Rinku points to his left hand indicating the mark of being bitten by the monkey.
Before this joke, in the video Rinku Singh discusses the team’s first practice session and expresses his enjoyment of the warm-up and net session. He mentioned about collaborating with Rahul Sir and the positive feeling associated with it. Rinku shared Rahul sir’s advice and encouraged players to believe in themselves and persevere, especially when playing in a challenging position like No. 5.
Discussing her fitness routine, Rinku stressed on the importance of maintaining fitness for fast cricket and acknowledged the need to be in top form for the upcoming series.
It is noteworthy that the South Africa tour includes not only a three-match T20 series but also ODI and two Test matches. The Test series is part of the World Test Championship, giving each game increased importance as both teams aim to score vital points in the race for the championship.
