According to the Hindu calendar, the Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha after full moon is known as Sankashti Chaturthi and the Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha after Amavasya is known as Vinayaka Chaturthi. Chaturthi falling in the Krishna Paksha of Falgun month is also known as Dwijapriya Sankashti Chaturthi. Worshiping Lord Ganesha by law on this day fulfills all the wishes. The fast of Dwijapriya Sankashti Chaturthi will be observed on February 20. On this day, fasting should be offered to Lord Ganesha by worshiping, fasting, Katha and Aarti etc. Chaturthi Tithi is very dear to Lord Ganesha, that is why worshiping Ganesha on Chaturthi Tithi is considered very auspicious. Worshiping Lord Ganesha on Sankashti Chaturthi brings wisdom and opulence. Worshiping Lord Ganesha on this day removes all the troubles from a person’s life. Vighnaharta Ganesha gives happiness, peace and prosperity to all the obstacles.
Sankashti Chaturthi Puja Method
Before worship, after purifying the place of worship with Gangajal, spread red cloth on a wooden post, install the idol of Ganesha and offer pure water after anointing it with Gangajal and Panchamrit. Then apply Roli sandalwood vermilion to Ganesh ji and offer Durva and flowers. Chant Ganesh Mantra during the puja. Offer modaks or laddoos to Ganesha during the worship, end the worship by doing aarti to Ganesha.
Dwijapriya Sankashti Chaturthi date
According to the Hindu calendar, the fast of Dwijapriya Sankashti Chaturthi of Falgun month will be observed on 20 February 2022, a Sunday. Let us inform that according to the Hindu calendar, Chaturthi Tithi will start from 9:56 pm on 19th February and will end on 20th February at 9:05 pm. Due to which the fast of Dwijapriya Sankashti Chaturthi 20
February will be held on a Sunday.
Bali Chaturthi falling in the year 2022 and his name is Bhalchandra Sankashti Chaturthi on 21st March, Monday, 19th April with Vikat Sankashti Chaturthi on Tuesday and Ekadanta Sankashti Chaturthi on Thursday 19th May, Krishnapingal Sankashti Chaturthi on Friday 17th June, Gajanan Sankashti Chaturthi on Saturday 16th July, Sankashti Chaturthi and Bahula Chaturthi will fall on 15th August. Then on Tuesday, September 13, Vighnaraj Sankashti Chaturthi, on Thursday, October 13, Vakratund Sankashti Chaturthi and Karva Chauth will be fast. After Ganadhip Sankashti Chaturthi on 12th November, Saturday, Akhurath Sankashti Chaturthi will fall on 11th December, Sunday.
