Recipe for making Churma Laddu
Churma laddus are widely eaten in Rajasthan. Dal Baati and Churma are considered a complete food in themselves. Churma laddus are very tasty to eat. You can easily make and eat Churma laddus at home too. Churma laddus are prepared with desi ghee, dry fruits and wheat flour. You can make and eat them on any festival. Ingredients to make Churma Laddu: (Churma Laddu Ingredients,
- Wheat flour – 3 cups
- Ghee – ¾ cup
- For frying – oil or ghee
- 3-3 tbsp chopped cashews and almonds
- Mawa – 100 grams
- 3 tbsp raisins
- 2 cups powdered or granulated sugar
- Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
- 2 tsp poppy seeds

First step- First of all, mix half cup of ghee in wheat flour. If the flour is very fine, then add 2 tablespoons of fine semolina or rava to it. Crumble and make the flour slightly wet. You have to add water and knead the dough.
Second step- Make thick mathri balls out of the dough and fry them till they turn golden brown. Fry all the mathris in the same way and place them on a big plate. You have to keep the flame of the gas low only then the mathris will be cooked from inside.
Third step- When the mathri cools down, put them in a mixer jar and grind them coarsely. Filter the ground powder through a thick sieve and grind the coarse pieces once again in the mixer.
Fourth step- Now heat ¼ cup ghee in a pan. Add cashews, almonds and raisins and fry lightly. Now put the ground powder back in the same pan.
Fifth step- When the dough cools down, add powdered sugar or bura to it. Mix mawa in it and add cardamom and poppy seeds and prepare laddus with all the ingredients.
Sixth step- If the mixture seems too dry and the laddus are not being made properly, then add some more ghee to it. Churma laddus made this way are very tasty to eat. You can also store them for 15 days.
