Ranchi. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday took major action in the land scam case in various districts of Jharkhand and Bihar. This action of ED has been taken under the Money Laundering Prevention Act (PMLA). The investigating agency raided a total of 16 locations in Jharkhand and Bihar including Ranchi, Bokaro, Ramgarh.
A case related to illegal purchase and fraud of 103 acres of protected forest land has come to light in Mauja Tetulia area of Bokaro. The use of fake documents in the purchase of land and ignoring government rules has also come to light.
The office of Rajbir Construction Limited located at Hariom Tower Building in Ranchi was also raided by the ED team. The ED is being investigated in depth the role of all companies and individuals in this case. Along with this, there is also a possibility that many major revelations may occur.
According to the information, a case was registered at Sector-12 police station of Bokaro in 2024 for the purchase and sale of about 103 acres of forest land. After which the CID started its investigation. Initial investigation by CID clearly revealed that the land was manipulated by the mafia and BSL personnel. In this disturbance, the forest department was told not to handover the land in a proper manner by BSL. After this, the ED started its investigation in this case.
