It is alleged that Malik has been running this company with the help of fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar and other members of D gang. In this regard, Munira the plumber told in a statement given to the ED that he had a plot of 3 acres in Gowala compound in Kurla. Salim Patel had taken five lakh rupees from him to vacate the illegal occupation of this land and to settle the disputes.
But he sold this land to a third party, while Salim was never asked to sell the property. Not only this, on July 18, 2003, the paper related to transfer of ownership of the land was not signed. He was not aware that Salim Patel had sold this land to someone else.
At the same time, after scrutinizing the documents related to this land, the ED came to know that Sardar Shahwali Khan is behind this, who is an accused in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts. He is serving life imprisonment in Aurangabad jail under DATA and MCOCA. Shahwali Khan had told the ED that Salim Patel was close to Haseena Parkar, sister of fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim. It was on the instructions of Hasina that Salim took all the decisions regarding Munira’s land.
Munira did not file complaint due to fear of underworld
Munira told the ED that she was scared when she came to know that Salim Patel was associated with the underworld. Because his family’s life was in danger. During that time he also started receiving threats, which reduced his interest in the land. He told the investigating agency that in the year 2021, through media reports, he came to know that his land has been sold. However, she was also getting letters from the authorities so that she was sure that she was the legal owner of the land.
Now ED will interrogate Nawab Malik’s brother Captain, summons sent
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Kaptan Malik, a minister in the Maharashtra government and brother of NCP leader Nawab Malik, in the Dawood Ibrahim money laundering case. ED sources said on Thursday that Captain Malik has been asked to appear for questioning. A special PMLA court on Wednesday sent Nawab Malik to Enforcement Directorate custody till March 3 in connection with a money laundering case and alleged links with fugitive Dawood Ibrahim.

Earlier this month, the ED had raided the Mumbai residence of Haseena Parkar, sister of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, in connection with money laundering. A search operation was conducted at 10 locations of Nagpada linked to Hasina. The agency had also questioned Dawood’s nephew and Haseena’s son Alishah Parkar and Chhota Shakeel’s henchman Salim Qureshi alias Salim Frutis.
Dawood’s brother Iqbal Kaskar sent to 14-day judicial custodyA special PMLA court on Thursday sent Dawood Ibrahim’s brother Iqbal Kaskar to 14-day judicial custody in a money laundering case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) did not seek Kaskar’s custody today. Kaskar was produced before Special Judge MG Deshpande today after his custody ended.
Earlier on February 18, Kaskar was sent to ED’s custody for a week by a special PMLA court in the money laundering case. A few days ago, the ED had raided the residence of Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar in the money laundering case.
