New Delhi. The fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 has been completed. Meanwhile, big leaders of INDIA alliance and NDA are continuously busy in campaigning. Before the sixth phase of elections, star campaigners of both BJP and Congress are engaged whole-heartedly in political rhetoric against each other. Sometimes PM Modi targets Rahul Gandhi and sometimes Rahul Gandhi is seen asking sharp questions at PM Modi. But in the meantime, sometimes it is not even known when a small difference of decorum ends. There was a time when leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Jawaharlal Nehru understood and respected this fine thread of decorum in politics. But now this is rarely seen in the rapidly changing political world. Due to this, many times they even use abusive language against each other. Now the Election Commission has shown strictness on this. Taking cognizance of the statements of star campaigners of both the big parties, the Election Commission has directed to exercise restraint.
The Election Commission has directed BJP President JP Nadda and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to issue a formal note regarding this on behalf of their respective parties. It has been said that they should try their best to exercise caution and decorum during the speeches of their star campaigners.

The Election Commission has clearly stated in its instructions that during speeches, do not campaign in the name of caste, religion, community, language etc. The Commission has said that BJP and its star campaigners should not make religious and communal statements. This poses a danger of division of society. Along with this, similar instructions have been given to the star campaigners of Congress. The instructions for Congress say that they should not use the names of Agniveer and defense forces for political gains. Along with this, do not make statements about the socio-economic structure of the defense forces.
