It is reported that a team of Election Commission led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar will visit Jammu and Kashmir from 8 to 10 August. During these three days, the team of Election Commission will take stock of the preparations for the elections in the valley. Election Commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and SS Sandhu will also visit Jammu and Kashmir. According to the order of the Supreme Court, the Election Commission has to conduct assembly elections in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir before 30 September. In such a situation, the visit of the Election Commission is very important for the elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
First of all, the Election Commission team will go to Srinagar and meet the representatives of political parties. In this meeting, the representatives of the political parties will give their suggestions to the Election Commission and the Election Commission will finalize the election program in Jammu and Kashmir keeping these suggestions in mind. In Srinagar, a review will be done first with the Chief Election Officer, SPNO and Central Force Coordinator. The Election Commission will also review the preparations with the Chief Secretary and DGP in addition to the District Election Officer and SP of all the districts.
