Electric two-wheelers are increasingly being adopted in the country, due to which the amount of EVs on Indian roads has increased as compared to earlier. But today we are not giving you information about the electric vehicle of any company, instead we are going to tell you about the incident of fire in the electric scooter which has spread on the internet.
Actually, the video of SaharaEVOLS’s X1 electric scooter catching fire is being seen fiercely on the internet. This video is from Andheri, Mumbai. In the 3-minute clip, which has been uploaded on YouTube, the electric scooter can be seen burning. According to reports, this was the X1 model of SaharaEVOLS. In the video, a white colored substance is lying near the burning scooter on the side of the road, seeing that it is being speculated that someone may have used it to douse the fire.
Smoke is continuously coming out of the scooter, while after some time suddenly the smoke increases like a pressure cooker, and the scooter catches on fire. However a person brings a bucket of water to douse the fire. Even after throwing a full bucket of water on the scooter, the fire is not stopping. After which a person brings a fire extinguisher and uses it on the scooter, yet the scooter is getting flames. Finally, when someone brings another bucket of water and throws it on the scooter, the fire is extinguished. Even after this, smoke continues to come out of the scooter.
The point to note here, is that once the battery cell catches fire, the energy chemicals stored in the battery are used as fuel for the fire. In which one cell after another starts to fire. Thus a chain reaction starts. It can be seen in the video that at times, the fire slows down, but starts again with an explosion. This is when a new battery cell starts to burn.
