Ganga water is supplied to Noida and Ghaziabad. About 1.5 million people receive Ganga water in both cities. It is being told that these people have not received water for the last 24 hours. You will also be surprised to know the reason behind this.
Electricity bill of Rs 3.50 crore
Actually, Gangajal plant has been set up at Siddharth Vihar. Here electricity is supplied from Siddharth Vihar and Pratap Vihar Power House. On Wednesday, the power company disconnected the electricity connection of the Ganges water plant. This step has been taken due to payment of dues of about Rs 3.50 crore, due to which the supply of Ganga water in Trans Hindon, Siddharth Vihar and Noida has been affected.
Action on not responding to notice
According to Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam, the Municipal Corporation, Housing Development Council and Noida Authority have to pay crores of rupees for Ganga water supply. These departments had not paid for many years, due to which the Electricity Corporation had to send notices repeatedly. At around 1:02 pm on Wednesday afternoon, the power company cut off the power connection of the water treatment plant. When Ganga water did not come till evening, people called the officials. It was then revealed that the electricity connection has been cut.
How will everything go without Ganga water?
Due to the interruptions of Ganga water supply, people had to work by collecting water. If the electricity connection is not restored soon, thousands of houses in Noida and Ghaziabad will face serious water crisis. Demand for tankers may increase, especially in apartments, societies and large areas.
If the solution is not found soon, the problems will increase.
It is being said that if the outstanding amount is not paid soon, the drinking water crisis will deepen. According to officials, it will not be possible to restore Ganga water supply until the outstanding amount is paid. After this, the difficulties of millions of people may increase in the coming days.
