A surprise case has come to light in Alipur area, where a negligence of four bike riders killed a young man. The police have started investigation by registering a case of culpable homicide (Section 304 IPC) and evidence (Section 238 BNS) against the three accused.
What happened?
Between 2 to 2:30 pm in midnight of May 19, four youths were riding on a black splendor bike without a helmet. The bike was driving a young man named Tauhid. He was trying to overtake a truck near Jain Temple, Budhpur, but the bike collided with the back of the truck. The bike riders fell. Vikas Kumar (about 30 years old, Kotla Mubarakpur resident), who was sitting behind in this accident, died on the spot due to strangulation.
Carry with the deceased
After the accident, Tauhid and his two friends sat on the bike and threw the dead body of the deceased development in the bushes. They neither informed the police nor the injured partner Tauhid gave any information to help in the hospital. Investigation revealed that the body was dragged and thrown, which took the matter seriously.
Police took quick action
On the information received by Alipur police, the police team reached the spot and recovered the body. Tattoo on the dead body was identified that it belonged to Vikas Kumar. The case became suspicious due to cuts on the throat and injuries on the body. The postmortem was carried out on 21 May at Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital, in which the accident was described as the cause of death.
Police investigation and arrest
The police gathered evidence from the crime scene and arrested the three accused. DCP Nidhin Walson said that a case has been registered against the three accused for culpable homicide and eradication of evidence. All the accused are being questioned. The incident pays attention to a more condemnable response to the extent of ignoring road safety rules and after the accidents. Rapid action of the police is expected that further investigation will reveal the whole truth and ensure justice.
