Jaishankar and Bilawal came face to face in SCO Summit Goa but the tension was clearly visible
If the neighbor attacks, the line will have to be drawn.
In Mysore, Jaishankar said many important things regarding the restoration of relations with Pakistan. These indicate how India’s relations with Pakistan can be in the future. Foreign Minister has said that of course enmity with Pakistan is not in our interest. But the line has to be drawn. We do not want enmity with Pakistan. However, when a neighbor attacks your city, it doesn’t seem like things can go back to normal.
The External Affairs Minister has said that Pakistan not only runs a terror factory. Rather, he also understands his right on it. It does not even follow the basic rules of international relations. Referring to SAARC, he also said that how can Pakistan be in such an organization which hinders mutual connectivity by supporting terrorism.
If the guest is good then I am also a good host…
Regarding Bilawal Bhutto’s visit to India, Jaishankar once again made one thing clear. He said that Bhutto’s visit to the Goa meet should be taken only as the participation of the SCO Foreign Minister. He had come in the capacity of Foreign Minister of SCO member country India. On hosting India, Jaishankar said, ‘If my guest is good then I am also a good host.’
