Ensure quality and timeliness in drinking water schemes: Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary

Dholpur Minister of Public Health Engineering and Ground Water Department Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary while reviewing the drinking water projects operated in the district in Dholpur Collectorate Auditorium on Thursday and gave clear instructions to the officials that all the works should be completed within the stipulated time and no compromise should be made on the quality. He said that the primary goal of the state government is to provide clean, safe and uninterrupted drinking water to every citizen.

The Minister of Water Supply said that the success of any project depends on its quality and timeliness. He warned the officials that strict disciplinary action should be taken against the sensors who are not following the tender conditions or are negligent in the work.

Keep coordination with public representatives for permanent solution-

In the meeting, the minister interacted with the local public representatives and took suggestions on the water problems of the district and instructed the officials to make a strategy of permanent solution with their help. He said that to ensure water supply to village-dhani, it is necessary to understand local ground reality and include them in plans.

Plans made keeping in mind the needs of the future-

Considering the rapid pace of urbanization and future expansion of rural areas, the Minister of Water said that all projects should be designed from long -term perspectives. He also clarified that the capacity of water supply in current schemes should be made flexible to suit the future requirements.

Water life mission works should be done quality and fast-

While reviewing the relevant works under the Water Life Mission, the Minister of Jal Surya said that the works of the water life mission should be completed quickly with full transparency and quality, so that every house can be converted to the resolve of ‘tap to water’ into reality. He instructed the officials to conduct the pressure testing compulsorily after laying the pipeline, and only then the soil should be filled. Also, the debris that comes out after excavation should be removed on time and the roads should be taken to the undone position.

Illegal connections should be strict

Minister Chaudhary directed to campaign against illegal water connections. He reiterated that the availability of drinking water is limited, and its use should be limited to domestic functions only. If a person is found to be using drinking water in agriculture or business objectives, an FIR should be lodged against him.

During the meeting, District Collector Srinidhi BT gave detailed information about the current status, progress and challenges of water life mission and other drinking water projects in the district.

Additional Chief Engineer Public Health Engineering Mohan Lal Meena and Additional Chief Engineer Surendra Sharma of Chambal Project shared information about the technological progress and distribution system of the schemes.

On this occasion, Bari MLA Jaswant Singh Gurjar, Superintending Engineer H.K. The concerned officials including Aggarwal were present.
