He is emphasizing on making entrance exams like NEET, JEE and CUET a little easier.
Now, in school and college level studies, the focus will be more on practical than theoretical education (New Education Policy). Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, in a meeting with Secretary of School Education and Literacy Department Sanjay Kumar, UGC Chairman Prof. M. Jagdish Kumar, Higher Education Secretary K. Sanjay Murthy and senior officials of the Ministry of Education, emphasized on working fast on the mission of education reforms. Let us tell you that many projects of the Education Department are in the pipeline.
Entrance Exams in India: The level of NEET, JEE, CUET will change
The Union Education Minister believes that whether the students are from urban areas or rural areas, all should get equal opportunities for education. That is why efforts should be made in competitive examinations like NEET, JEE and CUET to provide better opportunities to students from rural areas. Efforts are being made to make the questions of the entrance test easier. A report is being prepared on the performance of students from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya and non-coaching areas in competitive examinations in rural areas.

NCERT Books: Now new NCERT books will come
To take this mission of the Education Minister forward, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is also preparing new books. Classroom teaching is being improved by using new and updated technology in the education system. The entire system will be made student friendly. Every year lakhs of students appear for engineering and medical entrance exams. Preparation for these exams is done with NCERT books, which are available across the country.
