Jaipur . Introducing a personal bill in the Lok Sabha during the budget session, MP Diyakumari demanded the establishment of a permanent bench of the High Court at Rajsamand.
Introducing the bill, MP Diyakumari said that Rajasthan is one of the largest states. On an average, there is only one High Court judge for the state’s population of 2.5 million. Hence the need arises for an additional Standing Bench of the High Court to effectively dispose of the cases and reduce the pendency.
The MP said that the number of pending cases of the division in the High Court is innumerable. In addition, a large number of Government of Rajasthan, its various departments or public sector undertakings and autonomous bodies under it are a party. The Constitution of India provides the right of every citizen to get justice. The district-wise distribution of tribal population in Rajasthan shows that Udaipur division has the highest concentration of them. In which Banswara district covers 72.3%, followed by Dungarpur 65.1% and Udaipur 47.9%.
MP Diyakumari said that in fact a large part of this tribal population comes under the category of Scheduled Tribes. Majority of this tribal population is economically weak. who are unable to reach justice because of the long distance between the Jodhpur and Jaipur benches. Therefore, the establishment of a permanent bench in Rajsamand will not only reduce unnecessary expenditure from the exchequer but will also benefit the people of Rajsamand, Pali, Ajmer, Sirohi, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh, Dungapur, Banswara and Udaipur districts, especially the tribal people. ,
