Education is a lioness milk, who will drink, roars,Where knowledge is not possible, life will destroy there …
Today is 14 April – Birth Jubilee of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the craftsman of the Indian Constitution, social reformer and idea revolutionary Babasaheb. This day I personally see not just a memory, but as an inspirational journey. The flame of his thoughts still gives us direction.
Baba Saheb’s life is a symbol of how an ordinary person can become a great man on the strength of difficult struggle, unique scholarship and comprehensive attitude. He was not only the Messiah of Dalits, but also imagined the harmony, organized and equitable form of the entire Indian society.
Today, when we see a society suffering from social inequality, ethnic hatred and ideological conflict, then Baba Saheb’s thoughts become more relevant than ever. He gave the slogan ‘Be educated, stay organized and struggle’, but are we able to follow it? Is society getting educated or confused? What organizations are forming or being fragmented?
Baba Saheb had a firm opinion that the society who does not know its history cannot make its future. He taught us that the Constitution is not only the law, but the foundation of social justice. He not only gave constitutional rights to women, Dalits and disadvantaged sections, but also gave them a sense of self -respect.
After 2014, some historical decisions – such as the end of Article 370 and 35A – are a step towards their incomplete dreams. But his biggest dream – social harmony and national unity – is still incomplete. For this we need not only a tribute, but continuously activeness and self -determination.
Baba Saheb not only talked about rights, but also made a sense of responsibilities. He provided an intellectual foundation to cultural nationalism, where the ‘nation’ was paramount, rising above the caste and creed.
Today some foreign forces are trying to disintegrate our culture and social structure. At such a time, only Baba Saheb’s ideology can unite us.
Come, let us take a pledge on his birth anniversary today – to fulfill his unfinished dreams, bring harmony and equality in society and to make India a land of ideas where every citizen is equally honored. This will be a true tribute to Babasaheb.
